Born in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic on September 24, 1927 to Otilio Mojica and Eliza Ramirez. In 1953, at the age of 26, Marcelo came to the United States. He met Paz Lucila Ramos, and four years later they were married. They had 11 children: Moises, Cesar, Samuel, Josue, Misael, Efrain, Juan, Maria, Isaac, David, and Marcos. Marcelo obtained a Bachelors in Theology. He served in ministry for over 50 years and retired in 2003.
